Faculty directory
For each faculty: its graduate studies coordinator and three examples of researchers with their research topics. These are examples only. To get the full list of potential supervisors in a faculty, ask its graduate studies coordinator, and write directly to researchers whose work interests you.
3. Entry requirements
MSc
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited university, with a GPA of at least 75 (or the equivalent). Most departments require more.
- Recommendation letters, sent directly to the International Students Coordinator.
- An advisor, in certain faculties.
- GRE where relevant (see below).
GRE
- Required for: Aerospace Engineering, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Autonomous Systems and Robotics.
- Mechanical Engineering: may be waived with a recommendation from your future advisor. Applicants from non-English-speaking countries may need TOEFL.
- Chemistry: depends on the committee's decision after the interview.
Good to know
- You may apply to one department only.
- The department's Graduate Studies Committee reviews your application and may invite you to an interview.
- Each department may set requirements above the minimums. Check with the graduate program coordinator.
PhD
- An MSc with a research track, with a strong GPA and research grade.
- An advisor found before you register.
- Recommendation letters.
4. Scholarships and tuition
Scholarships go to thesis-track students based on academic merit. Amounts below are monthly, effective April 2026.
MSc, before research topic approval: NIS 1,101
MSc, after research topic approval: NIS 1,178
PhD, before candidacy exam: NIS 1,401
PhD, after candidacy exam: NIS 1,522
Tuition waiver depends on the number of monthly portions awarded:
1 portion: 25% tuition waiver
2 portions: 50% tuition waiver
3 portions: 75% tuition waiver
4 or more portions: 100% tuition waiver
- The faculty decides the number of portions (1–6) and the minimum grade, never below an average of 80.
- Scholarships are approved for each academic year (October–September).
- Scholarships are paid at the beginning of the following month.
- Scholarship recipients with other wage income are generally not eligible.
- You receive the scholarship form link with your admission letter.
