The Technion

Since its founding in 1924, the Technion has awarded nearly 92,500 bachelor’s degrees in Engineering, Science, Architecture, and Education. This academic foundation was bolstered by the 1956 opening of its graduate school- conferring over 33,700 advanced degrees and the 1969 establishment of its medical school, which has trained nearly 3,500 MDs.

Today, the Technion ranks as a premier global institution for scientific and engineering excellence. Its alumni serve in prominent roles across global industries and spearhead cutting-edge research in both academia and nanotechnology sectors. They are the architects of Israel’s high-tech landscape and played a pivotal role in establishing the 'Start-Up Nation.'

With more than 14,600 students currently enrolled across roughly 130 programs, the Technion emphasizes academic rigor and research excellence. The university provides extensive resources for advanced studies, with doctoral fellowships enabling pioneering discoveries.

Technion Objective

To disseminate knowledge through teaching and the advancement of research in pure and applied Science, Engineering, Architecture, Technology, Medicine and related activities including the Humanities, Social Science and Education.

To impart a broad general education to all students, serving the State of Israel through innovation and research without discrimination on the grounds of race, religion, nationality, or gender.
